Chu Tao is 'how being a monarch', i.e. the artwork of ruling. Every school of philosophy has its tao, its doctrine of how where existence ought to be ordered. Finally in a selected college of philosophy whose followers arrived to become known as Taoists, tao intended 'the way the universe performs'; and ultimately a little something really like God
